Vera Alerts Description
Vera Alerts provides notification of events that were originated from your Vera Home Automation system and delivered to your Android phone. These notification can also specify 1 of 5 alert tones to be played on your phone when the notification is delivered. Or it can have the message spoken using the locally installed Android Text To Speech, TTS, engine on your phone.Vera Alerts also maintains a database of these notification events so that you can review their history. It provides various tools to display these events and also to manage the lifetime of the stored data.
In addition to the text message and the alert tone, a notification event can include additional data with the message such as displayed background and foreground colors of the displayed messages, and other meta tags that can be used to convey information such as the user that initiated the event.
The original author was Richard Green. Improvements have been made by Richard Schaefer and Pieter Buts.
